RED CORAL : It is an Organic stone formed from the
branch of by a microscopic sea organism known as "Coral Polyp". The name is
derived from the Latin word 'Corallium'. This is also known a "OX - BLOOD".
Coral is also found in red, pink, white and brown, black, blue, golden
varieties. The Hindi Name for this is "MOONGA".

| Appearance
: It is an Organic stone, i.e its formation involves the interference
of a living organism. It is found in two types : Calcareous and Conchiolin. The
former containing the red, pink and white varieties, whereas the latter
containing the black, blue, golden and brown varieties. They display a pearly or
waxy lustre. |

: This gemstone is found in Japan, Mediterranean Sea, U.S.A, Red Sea,
Australia and Italy. |
